My Hawaii Hotspot – The Kohala Coast Legend

It is essential for me to be surrounded by beauty, and, in my opinion, there is nothing more beautiful than the backdrop of the Mauna Kea Resort on the Big Island.

Restaurants at the Mauna Kea Resort are some of my favorite places to rub shoulders and be seen. There are four fabulous restaurants on property, Number 3, Manta, the Copper Bar, and of course the beach bar, Hau Tree. It’s the stunning eye candy of the vast ocean views and landscaping that intrigues me the most. Surrounded by exotic Hawaiian trees and flowers creates the perfect setting for those “aha” moments.

The Mauna Kea Resort is a legend, originally founded by the Rockefeller in 1965, the resort has a spread class and sophistication.

Here Are Some of My Favorite Activities to Explore at the Mauna Kea Resort:

1. Nightly Manta Ray Watching at the Mauna Kea Point

There is a bright light shining on the ocean after sunset that attracts the plankton for the manta rays to feast on. This creates quite an exciting experience watching these gentle giants gracefully flow in the water.

2. Golfing

Did I mention that Mauna Kea has one of the top golf courses in the state, created by Robert Trent Jones Sr. I especially enjoy the gorgeous, endless ocean views as I perfect my game.

3. Schmoozing with the Locals

I have met the most interesting people and made friends for life. Yes, you can own a piece of the legend. Many vacationers that I have met have been coming to the Mauna Kea Resort for years and years with their families and friends, and dream of calling Mauna Kea home, well you can. ONE LIFE! Mauna Kea Realty offers real estate opportunities and provide a broad range of pricing options and include single-family homes, townhomes, condominiums, and vacant land, in the following neighborhoods:

Wai’ula’ula at Mauna Kea Property

4. Taking a Long Sunset Walk Along Kauna’oa White Sand Beach

Watching closely as the sun sets over the ocean to catch the “Green Flash.” This is such a treat and a beautiful closure for my day.

5. Shopping

And of course, as a bit of a shopaholic, Mauna Kea Resort has some beautiful boutiques. My favorite the Mauna Kea branded logo apparel makes me proud to wear such a world-class logo on my shoulder.

I would love to invite you to join me, so if you’re reading this, give me a jingle or email and let’s go grab a drink at the Hau Tree and chat about all the things we are grateful for.
